Terms of Service
Effective date: 15 July 2026 · Last updated: 15 July 2026
These terms govern your use of FX Reels ("the platform"), operated by Uungu Technologies (Pty) Ltd (registration 2019/048261/07), a company registered in South Africa. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. What FX Reels is — and is not
FX Reels is a video trading journal and trading education platform. It provides charting views, tools to record and organise your own trade reviews, structured courses, and mentorship content created by independent mentors.
Risk warning. Trading forex, CFDs and other leveraged products carries a high level of risk and can result in the loss of all your capital. Past performance is not indicative of future results. You alone are responsible for your trading decisions; consider seeking advice from an independent, authorised financial adviser before trading.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use FX Reels. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. We may suspend accounts that are compromised or used in breach of these terms.
3. Subscriptions and billing
- FX Reels offers a free tier and paid plans (currently Trader, Mentor and Academy) billed monthly in advance in South African Rand through PayFast.
- Prices are shown on the subscription page and include VAT where applicable. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing cycle.
- You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation stops future billing; your plan remains active until the end of the period already paid. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable.
- If a recurring payment fails, we may downgrade your account to the free tier after the paid period ends.
- A tax invoice is issued automatically for every successful payment and is available through our client portal.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of everything you create on FX Reels — recordings, journal entries, notes and comments. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display that content solely to operate the platform for you. Recordings you upload to your own YouTube channel or Google Drive are governed by Google's terms and remain under your control. Mentors retain ownership of their course content and grant enrolled students a personal, non-transferable right to view it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- share, resell or publicly redistribute paid course or mentor content;
- present any platform content as personalised financial advice, or use the platform to solicit investments or manage other people's funds;
- upload unlawful, infringing or malicious content, or attempt to breach, probe or overload the platform's security;
- share one account between multiple people, or scrape the platform.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
6. Mentors and third-party content
Mentor and course content is created by independent third parties. We do not verify mentors' trading results and are not responsible for the accuracy of their content. Chart data is provided by TradingView and may be delayed; we are not responsible for its accuracy or availability.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep FX Reels available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, add or remove features, and may discontinue the platform with reasonable notice, in which case any prepaid, unused period will be refunded pro rata.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law (including the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, where it applies), FX Reels is provided "as is", and Uungu Technologies (Pty) Ltd is not liable for trading losses, loss of profits, or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access for breach of these terms, with notice where practicable. Sections 1, 4, 8 and 10 survive termination.
10. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be announced on the platform and apply from the stated effective date. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
